the singing of beautiful chant, psalms, antiphons, and hymns. In addition to his responsibilities as the Music Director at St. Anthony’s, Daniel also serves as the organist for the 11:00 AM Portuguese Mass at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Parish in New Bedford, Massachusetts.

Daniel has also been active in the transcription of Mass settings into Latin, and he’s composed a number of psalms for Masses in English Spanish, Portuguese, and Latin.

Alongside his liturgical music career, Daniel serves as the Director of Financial Strategies and Chief Operating Officer for Guided Wealth LLC, a Financial Planning firm, where he brings the same dedication and attention to detail that characterizes his musical endeavors.

In May 2022, Daniel married the love of his life, Carina and they two have an ever-growing family, currently with two daughters.

Daniel B. Marshall is an organist whose work has been in the Catholic Church. He graduated from Bishop Feehan High School in Attleboro, Massachusetts. The following academic year, Daniel attended Rhode Island College in Providence where he studied the organ with Stephen Martorella, First Baptist Church of Rhode Island’s Director of Music, and percussion with Michael DeQuattro. Then, in the Summer of 2017, Daniel entered Our Lady of Providence Seminary for several months, where ultimately he discerned the priesthood was not God’s calling for him. In the fall, he started Rhode Island College again as a philosophy major, but still, his passion for music prevailed. He continued organ lessons and then began composition lessons with Martorella as well.

In 2018, Daniel transferred over to Providence College as a Sacred Music Major, and it was during this time that he studied organ alongside David Martinez, Providence St. Pius V Church’s Director of Music, chant with Fr. Vincent Ferrer Bagan, O.P, and composition with Michael Kregler.

In 2017-2018, Daniel worked as a percussion technician for Bishop Feehan High School’s marching band and percussion ensemble. In 2019, he served as percussion technician for the New Bedford High School marching band at a time when their band won best percussion at every competition attended that year. Just as this exciting time was coming to an end, Daniel found another opportunity.

In 2019, he began as Director of Sacred Music and Choirs and Principle Organist at St. Michael’s Parish and St. Joseph’s Parish in Fall River, Massachusetts. There he worked alongside his pastor to incorporate Entrance and Communion antiphons and more traditional hymnody into their liturgy. What started off as something completely foreign, not even a year later these elements had become the new standard in the two Parishes’ liturgical life and the choirs and congregation could easily sing along.

In July of 2023, he took over as the Director of Sacred Music and Choirs for St. Anthony of Padua Parish in New Bedford, Massachusetts, and has been there since. He is actively working with his pastor to elevate the liturgical atmosphere through
